 8月23日讯 英足总官方消息，利物浦上诉成功，麦卡利斯特红牌判罚被推翻，禁赛处罚取消。 现在麦卡利斯特可以正常出战利物浦下一场英超联赛，利物浦将在北京时间27日23:30客战纽卡。 英超第2轮，利物浦vs伯恩茅斯比赛第57分钟，麦卡利斯特蹬踏对方被直接红牌罚下。 对于麦卡利斯特的红牌，当时VAR是基于以下两个原因认为判罚无误的：首先麦卡利斯特亮了鞋钉，第二是麦卡利斯特犯规接触点过高。 利物浦随后选择了上诉，提交有关证据，希望撤销球员的禁赛。现在，独立规则委员会取消了麦卡利斯特的禁赛处罚。
